About Brighton & Hove Deaf Online Directory
The Brighton & Hove Deaf Online Directory was created to meet one of Brighton & Hove City Council's five pledges as defined in their BSL Charter. It was set up to encourage integration of services, projects, activities or events for Deaf, Deafened and Hard of Hearing people living and working in Brighton & Hove.
It focuses on the networking and gathering of information to help Deaf, Deafened, Hard of Hearing people make informed choices and in some cases to help identify solutions to problems they face in their day-to-day lives.
Brighton & Hove City Council and NHS Sussex (formerly Brighton & Hove CCG) commissioned DeafCOG to maintain the existing Directory originally compiled by Surdi CIC and to ensure accuracy of contact details and information from a variety of organisations that Deaf, Deafened and Hard of Hearing people may like to get in touch with.
