Deaf Cultural Outreach Group (DeafCOG) is a new Sussex based Deaf social enterprise aiming to provide access to user led services and employment opportunities for Deaf people.

DeafCOG is user led from the outset by Deaf people aiming to support Deaf people in their preferred language.

Aims:

  • To improve the life opportunities, health and wellbeing of Deaf people
  • To identify and remove barriers to participation for Deaf people
  • To maintain excellence in access, diversity and equality in our policies and practices to ensure that Deaf people from Black and minority ethnic communities; Deaf gay men and lesbians; Deaf transgender people; older Deaf people; Deaf children; Deaf people with other disabilities, Deaf people from different faith communities, Deaf people and people with HL (hearing loss) and DSL (dual sensory loss) from any background have equal access to services.
